About Us

At Octal Telecom our aim is to provide flexible, powerful and innovative communications solutions to a broad spectrum of clients ranging from small start-ups and sole proprietors to large PLC's. The systems we supply are based on proven technology, simple building blocks utilised in new and unique ways to create unrivalled innovation and automation.

Unlike some of our larger competitors we do not suffer from huge financial overheads or the inherent time delays in long, drawn out, formalised processes. Instead we are able to react quickly, stay ahead of the competition whilst remaining dedicated to customer satisfaction. Our low overheads also mean our products and solutions not only fit the bill and solve the problem, but are cost effective too!

Our solutions run over an extensive network with points of presence in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin. Each are purpose built, secure and environmentally controlled. Network capacity currently provides for over 12,000 lines with over 6,000 IVR channels. Resilience and business continuity is paramount with overflow between each POP site to protect us from network outage.

The list below details some of our standard products and services, although as solutions architects unlike many of the large telco's we are able to draw on the wealth of experience within our team to meet the needs of just about any problem.

0800/0845/0870 numbers - We provide a whole range of services based around non-geographic numbers and number translation services, with online provisioning/mapping changes and real-time stats. We can also provide premium rate and information based services.
Call recording/IVR solutions - Gone are the days of expensive hardware call recording solutions, our network based call recording is easy to set up, inexpensive and delivers recorded calls over existing infrastructure (the internet). Using the latest technology from C3, our IVR solutions are at the forefront of modern telephony. We offer both inbound virtual call centre products along with network based predictive and progressive diallers.
Land to mobile calls - Utilising direct links into the mobile networks we are able to offer land to mobile rates to any UK network from only 6.38p per minute with little or often no capital outlay. Typically this carries savings for our customers of between 50 and 60% on their land to mobile spend!
Calls and lines - As an affiliate partner of Your Communications, Octal is able to draw on one of the country's leading telco's services and provide preferential rates to our customers. Large savings can be made on both line rental and call charges no matter how much or little you spend. Calls can also be TPS screened as they are dialled.
SMS services - SMS is a much under utilised medium for communication in the business and corporate world. We can offer both bulk and premium/revenue generating SMS services, helping you keep in touch with your customers, keep them informed and potentially provide an alternative revenue source.
PBXs and Infrastructure - With a wide range of different manufacturer's switching products on offer you can be sure that any system we supply will be the right one for the job. Utilising the latest technology where required, CTI, Voice over IP, IP telephony, unified messaging and IVR, we are able to supply units from single ISDN2 line with 6 extensions right up to multiple ISDN 30 systems with up to 5000 extensions.
